Cleaner electric grid made it possible for electric cars to be greener in the US

The bickering regarding the electric vehicles to be as polluting to the environment as gas-powered vehicles has been disproved many times already.
Aside from the fact that the theory was not true, electric vehicles have become greener due to the cleaner electric grid invention.
A research study in the United States from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) had shown that an EV running on electricity commensurate to a typical or nonexistent gasoline vehicle that has 80 MPG. The study is constantly updated state by state view of the emission generation coming from the electricity to record the average electric vehicle’s equivalent mpg.
UCS stated that the power plant emissions on the vehicles powered by electricity are actually cleaner that the vehicles using gasoline in the US, according to the 2018 reported data. Approximately 75 percent of the population lives in places where electricity-powered vehicles are cleaner compared to a 50 MPG vehicles running on gasoline. And the best thing is there are now greenhouses with gas emissions that equates to an 80 MPG vehicle.

Based on the 2009 to 2016 UCS data report, the transformation from coal to natural gas in various regions had an effect. However, it is quite understandable that places with higher blend of renewable energy where hydroelectricity is famous are much better compared to other regions in the US.
UCS also looks into the effect of an individual driving a new electric vehicle that is ultra-efficient like Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq Electric. Both are on the EPA’s top list of the most effective electric cars at 136 MPGe and 126 MPGe.
According to UCS, regardless where the clean energy is gotten from, the vehicle is much cleaner in the road compared to others.
The electric vehicles trend is becoming more interesting with the growing renewable energy in the market today.
Tesla’s vehicle is leading as the best-selling EV this year in the US, especially if they can find out the system for ramping the production up. If this happens, Tesla will also be able to provide large numbers of EVs to accelerate their efficiency in the US market. And if Hyundai will commence creating more Ioniq Electric, things will be much better.
The increasing trend of the effect on the US grid is promising, as it grows annually.
